NCSLA Members,
I sadly report to you that NCSLA has lost an honored member, Abraham M. (“Abe”) Buchman. Mr. Buchman passed away on July 8, 2007 and a private interment service was held on July 10, 2007. A memorial service will be held in New York at a later day to be selected by his family.
As many of you know, Abe was an attorney specializing in the alcoholic beverage field for many years, beginning his practice in 1939. He was always sitting in the front row of NCSLA presentations and sharing his knowledge and expertise with all. In 2004, NCSLA awarded Abe the first ever “Hall of Fame Award” for his service to our organization.
Mr. Buchman was a true gentleman, a pioneer in the industry, and a special friend to this organization. He will be surely missed by all of us. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
